Because the probe is permanently fixed, the probe and meter are calibrated as a “system” so the total error is less than separate probe and meter combinations. The higher precision is perfect for meat and dairy processors. Designed specifically for wet industrial conditions, the AquaTemp stands up to rugged use in general food processing, food service and marine environments. The unique ergonomic design includes a rubber over-molded case for additional protection in harsh applications. The AquaTemp features a permanently attached, rigid stainless steel penetration probe. There are no connectors to get clogged with crud and the AquaTemp can be wielded in one hand. The large sized display is also easy-to-read, even if you’ve got some mud on the thermometer. The food-safe blue and bright yellow colors make the AquaTemp easy-to-find. There are no extra buttons to leak, stick, clog or confuse. Just a sealed-membrane styled on/off. A pleasant beep and a tactile response makes it feel like a button should. An auto-power off feature turns the instrument off after six minutes to stretch your battery life. You also get a clear visual and audible warning when the battery power is too low. A standard 12 volt MN21 powers the AquaTemp up to 150 hours.
