Saf-T-Log Free Updates

All updates to the Saf-T-Log desktop software and instrument firmware are free and can be updated in the field. ThermoWorks introduced a major feature update in June 2013 and is available for all users at no charge. Here is the list of updates:

July 2014 Update
Desktop Software version 3.0.3.0 & Instrument Firmware version 3.2.0 updates:

Load on and select from up to 7 checklists per Saf-T-Log device
Import multiple checklists to the PC from Saf-T-Log device

December 2013 Update
Desktop Software version 2.0.0.0 & Firmware version 2.0.6 updates:

Yes/No questions can now be added to any Checklist in order of preference
Yes/No corrective actions can be included in any Checklist, up to 10
Temperature corrective actions can be included separate from Yes/No corrective actions
View readings on handheld device before download
Longer food items and corrective actions can be created with scrolling feature
Instrument Menu now on handheld to view readings, change user, view calibration information, TRIM setting, and firmware version

Create custom checklists

With the free Saf-T-Log Windows utility, you create the checklists that get loaded onto the Saf-T-Log. Load up to 7 on the handheld and create an unlimited number stored to the PC. You can choose which checklists to use when you sync your Saf-T-Log. Create up to 300 items to be measured and up to 25 users. Create checklists and start taking readings in less than 15 minutes.

Take Readings

With the checklists loaded onto the handheld, readings are stored with location, user, date and time and corrective action if selected. Up to 1000 readings are stored before download is required. Attach the appropriate type K thermocouple and store readings with the press of just one button. Scroll quickly through your checklist with up/down buttons.

Saf-T-Log display shows current item to be measured, high and low targets, pass/fail status, on a large LCD display with press-button backlight. Scroll quickly through daily checklists.

Corrective Actions

Add correction actions to any checklist and record the selected action with the stored reading. Up to 10 corrective actions for temperature items and 10 corrective actions for Yes/No questions can be included with each checklist. Users are prompted to select a corrective action if the stored reading is outside of acceptable limits.

Yes/No Checklist Questions with Yes/No Corrective Actions

Include Yes/No questions in your custom Checklist for a comprehensive resturant or factory check. Up to 10 corrective actions can be included, specific to your Yes/No questions. When NO is recorded on the handheld, the Yes/No corrective action list appears automatically for quick scrolling to the desired choice. Easy for staff to use.

Report Generated Automatically

Completely eliminates hand writing! Report is created automatically when handheld is reconnected. Filed electronically for quick recall during audits or printed for hard copy archives. Data stored in locked PDF format for tamper-proof data storage. Does your handheld thermometer do this?

Cloud Accessible Reports

Saf-T-Log makes it easy to get the reports you need regardless of where you are. Using third-party cloud storage solutions like DropBox, you can access your Saf-T-Log reports anywhere. Now it's easier than ever for regional managers or corporate leaders to view completed checklists - immediately!

Export Data

Combine reports with our Saf-T-Log export function. A great management tool! Filter data by date, checklist, any user or item, location or only view readings that were outside acceptable limits in a convenient Excel file. Quickly spot trouble areas.
