Original Cooking Thermometer/Timer
Now with ON/OFF switch - Same low cost!
The Original Cooking Thermometer has been rated "Best of the Bunch" by the leading home Cook's Magazine, the ThermoWorks TW362B Original Cooking Thermometer can be set to the exact temperature of your choice to determine the correct doneness of your food. Put the thermometer probe tip in the center of your food, set the target temperature, close the oven on the cable, and the alarm will sound when it's ready. No little pictures of cows, pigs or chickens with factory set alarms for rare, medium or well-done. Instead, you can use "chef recommended" temperatures and set it a few degrees lower to allow for continued rise during "resting" of meats outside the oven.
Millions of Original Cooking Thermometers have been sold using the original thermometer circuit. ThermoWorks' newer version includes an On/Off switch to save the thermometer's battery life. The well-loved simplicity of setting temperatures is actually improved so you won't need to hunt for the instructions later. The Original Cooking Thermometer's stylish housing folds the display up for counter use or flat for mounting to the thermometer to an appliance door with the rear magnets. The alarm can be switched off to stop beeping after your set point is reached.
The Original Cooking Thermometer's probe cables will withstand 500°F for short term use. The thermometer's probe itself is rated to 392°F. The probe cable employs high temperature wires insulated with PTFE and is protected by a stainless steel over-braid. The thermometer probe's cable diameter is small enough to allow it to be closed in an oven door without creating a heat leak. The thermometer probe's assembly is not completely waterproof and should not be immersed in water. The tip of the probe tube can be run under a tap or cleaned with a damp rag. (Keep the thermometer's cable dry.) Keep the probe cable away from heating elements, flames, coals, grill or oven racks - all of which can reach temperatures far higher than 500°F. Avoid repeated kinking or twisting the thermometer's probe cable, which can break over time.
With moderate care, the Original Oven Thermometer's probes will last a long time. However, in the event of breakage, affordable replacement probes are available. Use only ThermoWorks TW362XX probes. Other makes or models may not work.
