Description

Our new Mini Handheld Thermocouple (MTC) is sure to be a favorite in the kitchen, at the backyard grill, or out in the factory. It's water-resistant, lightweight, and includes a type K thermocouple socket for use with virtually any type K probe. This is a true thermocouple meter for about 1⁄2 the price of any we've seen.

The MTC has a splash rating of IP65 so kitchen or factory use is no problem. With a large digit display you'll be able to read temperatures anywhere in the kitchen. A magnetic back panel attaches to any metal surface for easy mounting.

What is an IP Rating?

An IP rating, also known as "International Protection" or "Ingress Protection" rating, is a value assigned to a product that determines its susceptibility to ingress from solids and liquids. The first numeric digit relates to the level of protection against solid objects, and the second numeric digit indicates the level of protection against liquid ingress. Plug-Mounted Fast Response Penetration Probe

Model: 113-159

This plug mounted fast response probe is designed for measuring temperature very quickly. This is the same probe as we use on the Super-Fast Thermapen and Fast Response Penetration Probe.
Range: -58 to 482°F (-50 to 250°C)

Fast Response Meat Probe

Model: 113-151

Originally designed for measuring burgers, steaks and thin meat portions, this probe is often chosen for other purposes because it's diameter is smaller than our handheld needle probe and it's a bit quicker while leaving an even smaller hole. The 3.35" length allows you to reach the center of even a large burger when entering from the side, or it will reach the center of roasts for an extremely fast measurement. An optional detachable coiled or straight extension lead is also available.

Use this probe for very small samples or just speedy response times. The PTFE cable and sealed junction allow the use of this probe in ovens or other cooking processes. Readings take only 2-3 seconds to a full value. Two cable lengths are stocked.

Plug-Mounted Penetration Probe

Sharp penetration probe is mounted directly to an industry-standard miniature thermocouple plug. No cable included. Plug this probe directly into most thermocouple meters for a one-handed thermometer (meter/probe combination). Probe tip is swaged to a smaller diameter then sharpened for fast measurements and easy penetration. An optional detachable coiled or straight extension lead is also available.

Fast Response Penetration Probe

Model: 103-159/303-159

We start with a 1/8" shaft and reduce the diameter to 1/16" (1.5mm) at 1/2" from the needle tip. This gives you a compromise between durability and the better speed of a needle type probe. Used in liquids and soft semi-solids including rubber, plastics and similar materials. A complete reading takes only 4 or 5 seconds.
