Thermocouple Penetration Probes
Many styles available from heavy duty industrial sizes to fine gauge, high speed needle types. Used extensively in the food industries and in plastics, rubber and construction.
 The maximum temperature listed for the probes applies to the sensor itself. Plastic handles and thermocouple plugs are rated for short term exposure of 482°F (250°C) and extended exposure of 428°F (220°C).

5" Penetration Probe
This general purpose probe is popular in the food industries. The 1/8" diameter shaft is swaged to a smaller diameter and given a very sharp tip for easy penetration in most semi-solids. Also suitable for liquids and air temperatures. Very durable probe recommended for hard daily use. Resists bending and breaking (however, for frozen foods choose a heavy duty probe from below). Fairly quick response time takes only about 8 seconds to a complete reading. Max temp: 482°F (250°C). |

12" Penetration Probe

Fast Response Penetration Probe
We start with a 1/8" shaft and reduce the diameter to 1/16" (1.5mm) at 1/2" from the needle tip. This gives you a compromise between durability and the better speed of a needle type probe. Used in liquids and soft semi-solids including rubber, plastics and similar materials. A complete reading takes only 4 or 5 seconds. Max temp: 482°F (250°C). |

5" Needle Probe

Fast Response Meat Probe
Originally designed for measuring burgers, steaks and thin meat portions, this probe is often chosen for other purposes because it’s diameter is smaller than our handheld needle probe and it’s a bit quicker while leaving an even smaller hole. The 3.35" length allows you to reach the center of even a large burger when entering from the side, or it will reach the center of roasts for an extremely fast measurement. An optional detachable coiled or straight extension lead is also available. Max temp: 482°F (250°C). |

Miniature Needle Probe
Use this probe for very small samples or just speedy response times. The PTFE cable and sealed junction allow the use of this probe in ovens or other cooking processes. Readings take only 2-3 seconds to a full value. Two cable lengths are stocked. Max temp: 482°F (250°C). |

Burger Probe
The burger probe is designed for the busy fast food kitchen. A fine gauge needle tip reads meat temperatures very quickly and without a “heatsink" effect that would reduce the true temperature. A stainless steel disc is affixed to the probe which acts as a built-in depth gauge to ensure the correct insertion depth (1/4") each and every time. Max. temp. 482°F |

Heavy Duty T-Shape Needle Probe
