"I’m a softball and baseball umpire and this timer is the best! It’s a little pricey unless you get it on sale! One flaw is the battery sometimes doesn’t connect properly and it affects the loudness of the timer when it fails the seat properly. Try to get multiple timers when they go on sale!"

Great timer, but weak magnets

"I needed a new timer when one of my old timers decided to die. This is a nice loud timer that I can hear throughout my house. My kitchen is small so it is stuck to the refrigerator. I had to place another magnet under the timer as the magnets that it came with, were not strong enough to stop it from slipping down. I lost another timer that way."

Forgot about the stand!

"Unfortunately, I accidentally knocked the EB&lT (Extra big & loud timer) I've had for quite some time off my kitchen counter and it stopped working. I tried to see if I could send it in to be fixed but could find nothing on the website about returns. I love the timer so I immediately ordered a duplicate (I love the color blue). When I looked at the timer description, I realized that, since I almost always just leave mine on the fridge door, I'd forgotten that the U-Shaped stand pulled out from the back. I'm kicking myself, because if it was standing up, I wouldn't have knocked mine off the counter. Back to the new one: I love these timers (and also the temperature probes & other stuff I've ordered over the years) from ThermoWorks. I have a small kitchen and have never needed to put the volume above the lowest setting. It's plenty loud at that! I like the way the settings stay memorized in the timer and it's easy to set/reset. I highly recommend this timer. I'm sure I probably dropped my old one before without any issues so normally they are pretty durable. At least now I will use the stand when it's off the fridge, lol."
