Measures True Plate-surface temperature
Shaped like a plate, DishTemp simlates the actual plate surface temperature as it rides through your dishwasher cycle.

Waterproof to IP66® probe
We built DishTemp with industrial grade materials for waterproof protection that holds up in a commercial dishwasher.

High Accuracy to ±0.9°F
With a digital sensor, DishTemp is more than twice as accurate as temperature strips.

Ranges up to 194°F
DishTemp can even ride along even the hottest of washes, the ones most of your standard strips can’t handle.

Big, Bold Display
Read your max temperature and current temp, no squinting involved.

Designed to ride along with a load of dishes, DishTemp simulates a plate and accurately and irreversibly records the max surface temperature experienced by dishware inside a commercial dishwasher. Engineered with molded-in, water-tight seals, using industrial grade materials, DishTemp carries an IP66 rating and comes with a NIST-Traceable Calibration Certificate so you know its accurate, and a 1-year warranty.

DishTemp eliminates costly and inaccurate thermal labels and stem thermometers that don't stay in place and don't accurately measure temperature at the plate surface. DishTemp complies with the FDA Food Code requirements for high temperature dishwasher testing using irreversible registering temperature indicators.

DishTemp only has one button. The power button resets the irreversible Max Temp reading before each cycle. Simply turn DishTemp on, toss it in with the other wares and view the max surface temperature after the dish cycle ends. Use during audits and daily logs.

Built to survive daily use inside commercial dishwashers, DishTemp outperforms every testing solution. Save time, save money, improve your work. Order now.

  • Records irreversible MAX temp of dishwasher
  • Eliminate costly and inaccurate thermal labels
  • Includes NIST-Traceable calibration certificate
  • Verifies compliance with FDA food code 4-703.11(B), for commercial dishwashers

What is an IP Rating?
An IP rating, also known as "International Protection" or "Ingress Protection" rating, is a value assigned to a product that determines its susceptibility to ingress from solids and liquids. The first numeric digit relates to the level of protection against solid objects, and the second numeric digit indicates the level of protection against liquid ingress.

IP66 - No ingress of dust (6); Protected against strong jets of water e.g. for use on shipdecks - limited ingress permitted (6).

Reviews

Possibly an unusual use?

"I don't possess a dishwasher. I purchased my water temperature gauge, because it is so neat, to test early morning (6. 30am) swimming water temperature . . . the sea in the summer and indoor public swimming pool in the winter (where temperaturecan fluctate too much . . now I can comment accurately. I saw the same model being used at a hotel, took photos of it and Googled you. I am delighted with mine. I am delighted with mine and can be sure the sea is warm enough to stop my winter pool swimming, which is 2nd best compared to the sea."

Dishwasher thermometer

"This is the second time I purchased this product and both times the digital screen has cracked. Unacceptable for when health inspector comes into our establishment"

Use of DishTemps to profile Finnish Sauna.

"I currently have accumulated 11 DishTemps that are mounted on a tree and different sections of the sauna so that I can profile the temperature gradient in my Thermory No. 63 Electric Heated Barrel Sauna. I limit their temperature exposure to less than 110 degrees C and they perform quite well for that application. None of them will ever see a Dishwasher, their designed intent."

Malcolm R. (5/5)

Great product.

"Easy to install the provided battery. Clear instructions made it easy to use. I checked the normal cleaning and hygiene cycles. Got readings of 141ú and 168ú F respectively."

Responds too slow for dishwasher

"Concept is good, but does not read fast enough. You can dunk them in water at a known temperature and it still takes much longer than a rinse cycle to respond. I cannot trust them to read simulate the surface temperature like intended."

J N. (1/5)

Battery installation was difficult.

"Was difficult to figure out how the battery gets installed. Other than that it works fine."

Penny E. (4/5)

It does not temp properly.

Used for Residential use

"A great product even for non-commercial (that is, residential use). I am a 70 year old male and just purchased a new dishwasher for my house. I spent over $2,000 for a new Miele dishwasher and had no idea that such dishwashers wash dishes at hotter temperature than the water in my house-125ú. The Miele manual states the normal cycle washes dishes at 165ú! Did not know the dishwasher increased washing temperature-but I had to prove it to myself-this device proved Miele's representation. Very simple to use-install battery, turn on, plaice in dishwasher, let cycle complete, then read temperature and then turn off the device."

DishTemp - Developed hairline cracks on display screen, then moisture ingress and misreading of temp

"We've been using a DishTemp for a few months, after about 80 dishwasher cycles, we began to see small hair-line cracks developing on the display screen. After about 120 cycles, moisture/cloudiness was observed inside the screen and not long after that we began noticing the accuracy of the temp readings was off by a couple to half-a-dozen degrees when compared to a calibrated thermometer). It is a very nice device, though disappointing that it could not last one year (ie: 365 cycles). SN: 2323F0227244"

Michael N. (3/5)

Battery is difficult to install

"I can't get it to work. The battery is not easy to install. I will try calling customer support but I don't think a battery should be this difficult to install."
