Good Product, More than wnat I needed
"The Hi Temp Industrial IF w/Circle Laser is an easy to use thermometer. I bought it to measure the temperature of cast iron cookware at home and while camping. After using the device at home, I realize that I am typically close enough to the pot that I don't really need the laser circle and I learned that the black cast iron surface does not reflect the laser light very well. Still, it's a good product and I can switch the laser on or off as needed. I think the greater range of the industrial IR laser will be helpful when cooking over a campfire where I am not as close to the pot."

The Ultimate Precision Tool for Heat Detection
"The ThermoWorks Hi Temp Industrial IR with Circle Laser is a game-changing infrared thermometer that combines accuracy, durability, and user-friendly features. This professional-grade tool is designed to meet the demanding needs of serious home cooks. One of the standout features of this thermometer is its impressive temperature range, capable of measuring from -76ðF to 1,022ðF. This wide range makes it versatile enough for various applications, from checking freezer temperatures to monitoring high-heat cooking surfaces. The 8-point laser circle projection is a significant improvement over single-point lasers, allowing for more precise targeting of the measurement area. This feature is particularly helpful when working with smaller objects or specific spots on a cooking surface. The nearly instantaneous response time of just one second ensures you get quick and reliable measurements. The durability of the ThermoWorks Hi Temp Industrial IR is noteworthy. Its heavy-duty plastic housing can withstand accidental drops and still keep working. User-friendly features abound, including a backlit display for easy reading in low-light conditions, multiple display options for maximum, minimum, and average temperatures, and adjustable emissivity settings. These settings allow for accurate readings on various surface types. While the price point is higher than some other consumer-grade options, the ThermoWorks Hi Temp Industrial IR justifies its cost with its superior build quality, accuracy, and feature set. The extended warranty further adds value, providing peace of mind for this investment23. In conclusion, the ThermoWorks Hi Temp Industrial IR with Circle Laser is an exceptional tool for the serious home cook, Blackstone griller, or BBQ enthusiast who is concerned about temperature precision."

Works well, nice small spot
"Works well, nice small spot which allows me to better map out my grill to identify the hot spots versus other areas were temperature is more uniform."
Request return for replacement or refund.
"I just checked it's accuracy by boiling water. It registers 196 to 202. Your therapen accurately came back with 212. I would like to return it or replace it. Please advise."
Know When the Oil is Hot Enough to Sear
"I wasn't sure how useful this Laser IR tool would be, but once I started using it I realized how great it is to be able to check the temperature of oil before adding food. Nothing is more disappointing than dropping in a nice ribeye into the cast iron skillet and it doesn't sizzle, only then realizing the oil wasn't yet hot enough. That alone makes the tool worthwhile to me."
Must have if you frequently saute
"Especially useful for sauteing with a thin level of oil. Takes the guesswork out of determining when the oil is hot enough to add the ingredients to saute. Hot oil is the key to getting crispiness, When the oil is hot, the surface will crisp up and oil (and calorie) absorption is minimal. If you add ingredients to oil that is cool, you get sogginess plus unwanted calories - not a good look! Also good for determining when auto and mower parts are cool enough to work with."
