High Accuracy IR with Type T Thermocouple Input (IRT-2)
  • Meter Only, probes sold separately
In stock

The IRT-2 is a professional high accuracy infrared thermometer that reads type T thermocouples. Designed for lab, warehouse, quality assurance, HACCP and much more, the IRT-2 now includes a circle laser for more precise targeting of infrared measurements.

The IRT-2 has the best accuracy of any handheld infrared thermometer in its class, and includes a full measurement range from -76 to 1022°F. It features adjustable emissivity for virtually all surface types, min/max to record high and lows during use, high and low audible alarms and backlit display for poorly lit areas.

A unique circle laser pattern makes the IRT-2 a standout in infrared meters. The 8 laser dots show you the diameter of the area being measured. As you move closer or further from the target the laser circle will change diameter. You always know your spot size.

The IRT-2 Infrared Thermometer includes a thermocouple socket for use with any type T thermocouple probe. A two line display shows infrared and thermocouple measurements simultaneously. Select from dozens of standard industrial or lab grade type T probes. Many optional lab probes are used in lab research with ultra-fast response micro needle tips for very small specimens.

And, with a 12:1 distance-to-spot ratio, the Industrial Infrared Thermometer allows you to measure small target areas from further away (1 inch spot at 12 inch distance). This keeps the lens cool when measuring hot surface temperatures.

If you're a health inspector, food QA professional or laboratory researcher, the IRT-2 is your best choice.

Perfect gun

"Just about perfect. Only wanted accuracy and average function (this is the most accurate ThermoWorks IR)I didn't understand how this worked before I purchased. I thought I had to select a function first, and only one function, like average. Turns out you just hold the triggerr, scan for whatever length of time, (say 4 or 45 seconds), release, and then you can scroll through the results after the fact. It does take 9 presses to scroll through, and some of the functions are less than useful. Only suggestion is to have a mode that cuts that 9 down to 4: min max difference avg would be ideal. The only problem with buying this ThermoWorks IR product is that I'm addicted to ThermoWorks and this is the best gun they make unless you need higher temperatures. But higher temperature range also brings the accuracy down from +/-1. 5% to +/-1. 5%"

IR Gun

"Use it for checking temperature of my blackstone grill so I know hot and cool areas while grilling."

As advertised

"I bought it for cooking and making sure my pizza stone was up to temp but I also used it to convince the wife on why we needed new windows. Works great!"

EXCELLENT!

"The IR does an excellent job of giving surface termperature, especially for what I bought it for - checking the surface temperature of my outdoor griddle. It measures from 2""-3"" or 8' or more. Definitely recommend it for whatever surfaces you need to read."

No Guessing

"Takes out all the guesswork of the temperature of your grill."

So Handy!

"Once I figured out how to use it properly, it proved to be worth every penny."
