This thermometer is an affordable end to arguments over temperature accuracy. We start with a high stability platinum RTD sensor rated at 1/10th the conformance limits of the DIN specification.

The general purpose probe is attached to a high precision resistance thermometer that provides 0.01° resolution. The combination is calibrated as a system to minimize all errors and the final deviations are given for five temperatures on the included calibration certificate. Other companies charge this much for just the calibration certificate! In this accuracy and temperature range you can't beat this value.

  • Includes UKAS certificate with data at 5 points.
  • Meets high accuracy requirements in dairy, pharmaceutical and other critical industries.
  • Great choice for health inspectors and quality auditors
  • Certified accuracy to ±0.05°F (±0.03°C) including probe

A required reference tool

"Well-built, easy to operate, and readings agree with another available reference thermometer. I use it to calibrate other temperature sensors to be installed in production. The universal probe is slightly slow for air temperature but still usable."

Q&A

Hello We have several dataloggers for freezers (-80’c and -20’C) Can we use the Reference Thermometer SKU:THS-222-555 to ensure our data loggers read correctly? Can it be used instead of calibration certificate?
Whether you need a calibration certificate for each data logger or not would depend on your SOP's. The process and purpose of a certified reference thermometer is to validate your other devices. The temperatures this device has already been calibrated to start at -18°C, and while not required, we do recommend calibrating the thermometer at the range you'll be testing at.
