Outstanding
"Wow, I am very impressed with the ThermoWorks Smoke. It’s incredibly easy to use, very accurate, and has really helped me step up my grilling and BBQ game. Monitoring temps has become so much easier and more consistent. I especially love the handheld monitor for the added flexibility to move around while still keeping an eye on my cook. I honestly wish I bought this sooner. Definitely one of the best grill accessories I’ve added to my setup."
Smoke Review 1
"Did my first smoked pork butt last week. (On my gas grill). Turned out really excellent. Although maintaining a desired temp on a gas grill with only one burner is a challenge. The Smoke unit and remote seemed to work fine and convenient. I'm looking forward to using with more conventional cooking (steaks, chicken, etc). Issue: trying to figure out why reading variance between Smoke and Pen units."
Amazing customer service
"The remote receiver part came with the plastic insert for the batteries removed and caused the batteries to corrode. I took a picture of issue and sent to Thermoworks team, the very next day they follow up and ship me a new replacement at no charge. I really like that they stand behind their products and are known as top of line."
I can count on this one
"I have tried several digital meter/probe options and all fail within one to three years (especially the crappy probes). As a gift to me, I have had this one for at least 10 years with no issues with the meter or probes. I work for a calibration lab and was able to compare this meter/probe(s) to calibration lab SPRT prob standards (accurate to 4 PPM) and found this setup to be far better then specifications. From temperatures across the probes range at or above room temperature. and found all thee of my probes were within . 5 deg F most of the time and never more than . 75 deg F off (i added the needle probe - a must have for ribs). Unlike the cheep options, if a probe fails or is broken, you can replace just the probe for a reasonable price - cheep options require you to replace the meter and probe. In the end the long term reliability, and the ability to purchase additional or replacement probes, actually makes this option less expensive over time."
No Apps Needed!
"I love the fact this works without an app. Seems like the alarm is more reliable as well. Easy to set. Intuitive. Love it."
Died after 2 or 3 seasons
"Since I got a pellet grill with WIFI, I only use it when cooking on the kettle grill. I keep the base and remote indoors when not in use. About 2 months ago I took it out for some winter grilling and the remote is fine, but the base unit is dead. Cleaned the contacts and replaced the battery. Still dead. This is a pattern with all of my Thermoworks products. From this one to all the silicone spatulas. They all seem to last just a few years."
Peace of mind
"I love this gadget! Honestly didnât realize it was gonna give me ambient/ room temp along with the 2 probe temps. That lets me monitor my basement temperature. With the alarm settings, I can know if my pipes are in danger of freezing. Also, Iâm suspicious my freezer is gonna have a major problem because the door is in not great shape. This monitor, at 1/10 price of a new freezer, gives me peace of mind. I highly recommend this monitor!"
Works Great!
"It is very simple to use, and my results grilling with it have been great so far. I'm able to leave it outside and receive the connection from inside my house."
Keeps dropping the connection
"Iâm trying to monitor a corner of my attached garage and the NODE is mounted on a wall that has the living room on the other side. I use a 3 ASUS router mesh for my WiFi and it keeps going off line. The distance between them is maybe 20â. Iâm not sure why itâs dropping."
Great for low and slow cooking
"This would have got 5 stars, but the alarms don't sync between the main thermometer and the receiver; so when you turn the alarm off on the main thermometer, the receiver is still going off in the house driving your wife and dogs crazy! Otherwise works like a quality thermometer that I would expect from Thermoworks"
