The Pro-Series High Temp Straight Penetration Probe is a general purpose utility probe that is useful throughout the kitchen. Insert the reduced-tip penetration probe into roast, or loins to continuously monitor them as they cook. Good choice for threading through access holes in grill hoods.

Disappointing support

"I had to buy this replacement because the one supplied with the thermometer MELTED. The very pleasant, but totally disinterested CSR I spoke with told me I used it where the temperature was “ too high” whatever that means, and charged me $20 for a replacement. It’s nice to be nice, but it’s what you stand behind not the smile in your voice that counts!"

"I use this thermometer mostly to get an accurate reading of my oven. The probe broke after getting caught with the oven door. I need a replacement now and I’m not sure if I should buy the same one"

Probes die too quickly

"The dot and ThermaPen are amazing. These probes are very reliable, until they are not. With no visible damage to the (well protected) cord, the temp starts to be wildly inaccurate. Having said that, I'm back to buy more because they are more reliable than a Polder. I just wish they would last longer."

"Buying this to replace the one my DOT came with. It was treated currently and gently and died in 1-1. 5 years. It's the best option I'm aware of, even though it's pretty fragile."
