Wonderful & Versatile
"I hesitated buying these silicone lids. Very glad I decided to buy them! The easy cleaning is wonderful ! The ability to use them for more than covering a skillet or pot. I use them to cover things in the microwave ( metal lids can’t do that, and don’t have to use cellophane which is messy to use ). Finally I love how tight they fit."
Even Better than Expected
"I have always been impressed with the quality of ThermoWorks products, so I assumed that their silicone lids would be really good. When I took them out of the box, I was still surprised by HOW nice they are: thick, firm, professional in appearance, and a great price compared to the consumer-level ones we’ve had for years and loved. Those cute floppy ones tended to collapse into bowls and couldn’t be used on stovetop or oven. We’re delighted with our upgrade from cute to professional."
Fabulous products!
"These work great to seal dishes for refrigeration, cooking in a microwave (no more "safe" plastic wrap needed), keeping splatter to a minimum on the stove and lots of other uses I haven't discovered yet! Great products"
Works well for microwaving food!
"Good assortment of sizes! I keep them near my microwave, and have been using them to cover bowls that I’m reheating. Works well - seals tightly, easy to clean. I haven’t used them on the stove or in the oven, and don’t plan to - all my cookware that goes on the stove or in the oven have their own lids. Probably won’t use these for food storage either - because of their design, they take up a lot of space in the fridge. But I have used one of the lids to cover a bowl that I was using to marinate something - worked great, except for the space issue!"
Silicone lids
"These work really well. I especially like the lid for coffee mug! I would buy again!"
Great silicone Lids
"The lids themselves are great. Heat resistant, good fit, many sizes. However, storing them could be easier, and they do not look fully clean (i. e. , water spots) after washing, (although they are clean)."
Love these lids…
"I originally purchased these to use for my pots that didn’t come with lids but they’re so convenient that I’ve started to use these for even for pots that I have lids for."
These tops are great! Love
"These tops are great! Love the different sizes wish they came in different colors for each size."
These are the greatest. I
"These are the greatest. I used to love at least one of the lids everyday. I used to them to cover pans to keep splatters down and on bowls instead of plastic wrap."
I wouldn't buy the entire set again.
"I'm a long-time user of ThermoWorks products, going back years to my first instant-read thermometer. I've been largely or completely satisfied with every purchase - until this one. Admittedly, I fell for the advertising, particularly the "Universal" angle, but the larger lids in the set (8-, 10- and 12-inch), while well made and easy to care for, do not fulfill this promise in practice. I'll give one example: The 10-inch lid adequately covers my 10-inch skillets, taking a bit of care to ensure a good seal. However, when I need to remove the lid to stir or otherwise check the food, the lid can't be removed cleanly by lifting from the center "knob" (a result of the vacuum created), meaning you have to remove the lid with BOTH hands by the silicone "ears. " This creates two problems: 1) You have to put down whatever utensil you'd planned to use for the food and, 2) when you DO lift the lid with both hands from the edge, you're treated to a steam burn as the steam rushes out of the opening between pan and lid. This can be partially solved by using a lid one size larger (except on a 12-inch pot/pan, of course), but this still requires lifting the larger lid with both hands - and the overlap of the larger lid leaves less room on adjacent burners for other cookware. The smaller lids work nicely as food covers in my microwave, but as for the larger ones - I'll have to figure out a more practical use for them, give them away to someone I don't like, or eventually chuck them. Caveat emptor."
