"Compared with a known good oral thermometer. One child with oral temp of 102. 5, one child with no fever (oral), one adult with no fever (oral). All three read 97. 5 with this forehead thermometer. I love ThermoWorks products for cooking, but this one seems so inaccurate that I can't rely on it at all."

Unbelievable speed and accuracy.

"These were on sale around Presidentsâ Day for half price. Since we are always needing a thermometer, and most of the ones that the drugstore carries are JUNK, I bought two of these. We have had forehead thermometers before, but none of them worked particularly well. This thing measured exactly my typical (what the doctorâs office says when Iâm healthy) temp in less than a second with accuracy. Iâve claimed for years that every home chef needs a thermapen. Now, I will add to that: Every parent needs a Wand Mini."

I had the larger model

"I had the larger model of this and loved it for the same reasons. It is super quick to get an exact reading and small enough to store in small drawers or places. The display is super easy to read, but best of all and the reason I bought this model is because the larger model quit when it was knocked into the tub, however, being this newer mini is IP22 rated a drop followed by a quick retrieve would not render this non-functional so that is a huge bonus. The only downside, the larger model stored 30 readings and this one only 1 reading but I only use it on 1 sick person at a time so not a big deal"
