Works , but features are slimmed down from earlier
"I have one of these from a few years ago. On the new ones I just received, there is only one stick on metal plate to attach it to. The one I had before came with 3. The newer one has no markings in the battery compartment indicating which side goes up. It tells you on a small piece of paper, but that will soon be lost. Trivial I know, but another one of the many make it cheaper and charge more examples of today's economy."

Keep it in the fridge all the time.
"I move this around to all of my freezers and refrigerators. It helped me discover the large differences in temp around the inside of a new french door refrigerator. The tech that worked on it had to replace the temp sensors under warranty. 3 years later and out of warranty, the fridge has an area that is 7 degrees warmer than the set temp of 37. We had to move less perishable items to that area saving us a lot of spoiled milk."
Disappointed
"I was disappointed that Thermoworks sent me a SPOT thermometer with an error rate of close to 1 degree. The calibrated difference between the reference temperature and the thermometer reading was 0. 9 degrees. I would have hoped their tolerance for error would have been lower. I have three SPOT thermometers, and all are displaying nearly the same temperature within 0. 5 degrees. However, the new one I received is sometimes 1. 3 degrees lower than the other SPOT thermometers I have."

Great but wish it went colder.
"This thing is almost perfect, especially for the price! I wish it went colder because I'm troubleshooting my freezer that is too cold and SPOT can't read it. At least it tells me it's too far below 0°F, but I need exacts to know if I need to warranty the fridge. Also, in the colder temps (near 0°F), it is slow to show a temp and looks like the battery is dead but isn't. But I can't really complain, I bought one for every fridge and freezer. I love i can put them anywhere and remove them if space is needed."
Amazing little thermometers
"These are the best thermometers for keeping tabs on your refrigerator and freezer temperatures! We just moved into a new house that has a brand new Whirlpool side by side refrigerator/freezer. I had these at my old house and ordered 3 new ones for the new fridge. They showed the freezer was fine at the recommended setting but that the fridge was around 42. 5° which is a tad too warm to keep meats fresh. I adjusted to the next level and now the temp is right at 38°. These thermometers are essential to make sure you maintain the proper temps!!!!!"
