"I bought this to monitor coffee roasting. With the help of the RoastMaster app on an iPad, I am getting temperature readings every 0. 5 second. No complains on the reliability of the thermometer itself or the Bluetooth connection so far. However, for a thermometer of this price which receives input from 2 thermocouples, it would have been nice to have an extra button which allows to toggle between 3 modes: alternate between temp 1 and temp 2 display, always display temp 1, or always display temp 2. Without this, it is a bit annoying to have the display toggle every few seconds between temp 1 and ""err"". It shows ""err"" because there is no thermocouple connected to the second port. It should be noted that sensor 2 can be disabled through the app."

Disappointing Product if Connectivity is Important
"I normally have nothing but great things to say about ThermoWorks products and service, but lately IÃâve been a little frustrated, and that includes this product. I enjoy my ThermaQ and thought I would love this as well as I would get the same great readings but not have to be near my smoker all day long. While I do get the same great readings, this device doesnÃât maintain the Bluetooth connection worth a darn, no matter where I leave my phone. It disconnects constantly and sometimes wonÃât reconnect unless I do a phone reset (IÃâm using an iPhone if that matters) which is not at all convenient or what I expected. Also, when I got this product as a kit the tripod didnÃât fit the unit properly. They did end up replacing it and itÃâs a minor piece, but for the money I feel like I got hosed here. IÃâm not sure if a software update or something to the app or unit can make it better, but until it does IÃâm disappointed in this one. If the connectivity was the same as my smoke or signals it would be worth every penny."

Works Great but. . . .
"I am a caterer and I have the TheraQ Blue in my catering trailer. it seams like i cant get more then 30-50 feet from the trailer before it losses signal. I just ordered some probe extenders so that i can put the TheraQ on the out side of the trailer to hopefully get better reception."
