Awesome Equipment!
"This made my first attempt on my Traeger bulletproof. It was the best pulled pork I’ve ever had and the remote was incredibly handy. The alarm was easy to setup and it made me look like a pro to my wife even though I really had no clue how this would go until it was done. Must have piece of equipment for cooking perfect meat."
Easy to use, no messing
"Easy to use, no messing around with apps or having AI tell you to take your ribs off way too early. Only complaint is if I mute the alarm on the main unit, the expansion unit will still beep a couple seconds later."
Outstanding
"Wow, I am very impressed with the ThermoWorks Smoke. It’s incredibly easy to use, very accurate, and has really helped me step up my grilling and BBQ game. Monitoring temps has become so much easier and more consistent. I especially love the handheld monitor for the added flexibility to move around while still keeping an eye on my cook. I honestly wish I bought this sooner. Definitely one of the best grill accessories I’ve added to my setup."
Smoke Review 1
"Did my first smoked pork butt last week. (On my gas grill). Turned out really excellent. Although maintaining a desired temp on a gas grill with only one burner is a challenge. The Smoke unit and remote seemed to work fine and convenient. I'm looking forward to using with more conventional cooking (steaks, chicken, etc). Issue: trying to figure out why reading variance between Smoke and Pen units."
Amazing customer service
"The remote receiver part came with the plastic insert for the batteries removed and caused the batteries to corrode. I took a picture of issue and sent to Thermoworks team, the very next day they follow up and ship me a new replacement at no charge. I really like that they stand behind their products and are known as top of line."
Perfect BBQ companion
"Once again, Thermoworks have delivered in both quality and customer service. High quality thermometer, couldn’t recommend enough."
Smoke
"I have not used the tool. This is my second smoke. They are good enough for me to be a repeat buyer. I own other ThermoWorks products and have given them as gifts numerous times."
I can count on this one
"I have tried several digital meter/probe options and all fail within one to three years (especially the crappy probes). As a gift to me, I have had this one for at least 10 years with no issues with the meter or probes. I work for a calibration lab and was able to compare this meter/probe(s) to calibration lab SPRT prob standards (accurate to 4 PPM) and found this setup to be far better then specifications. From temperatures across the probes range at or above room temperature. and found all thee of my probes were within . 5 deg F most of the time and never more than . 75 deg F off (i added the needle probe - a must have for ribs). Unlike the cheep options, if a probe fails or is broken, you can replace just the probe for a reasonable price - cheep options require you to replace the meter and probe. In the end the long term reliability, and the ability to purchase additional or replacement probes, actually makes this option less expensive over time."
No Apps Needed!
"I love the fact this works without an app. Seems like the alarm is more reliable as well. Easy to set. Intuitive. Love it."
Died after 2 or 3 seasons
"Since I got a pellet grill with WIFI, I only use it when cooking on the kettle grill. I keep the base and remote indoors when not in use. About 2 months ago I took it out for some winter grilling and the remote is fine, but the base unit is dead. Cleaned the contacts and replaced the battery. Still dead. This is a pattern with all of my Thermoworks products. From this one to all the silicone spatulas. They all seem to last just a few years."
Q&A
- Does this work with the Billows fan?
- No, Smoke does not work with Billows. Smoke X, however, does work with Billows. Other compatible controllers: - Signals - RFX GATEWAY - ThermaQ 2
- first off I have several of your products and I love them, my question is I recently was doing some smoking and I got out my thermoworks smoke, when I flipped open the support on the back the little round ears broke off. Is there any way I can get just the bracket?
- Yes! Contact our Tech Support team at 800-393-6434, and they can help you out.
- Hi! I'm thinking of getting two of the Smoke sets, so I can monitor more temps at the same time. Will they interfere with each other if I have them going at the same time, or is each base unit individually paired to its receiver? Thanks!
- Each base is independently paired with its receiver. So you will not have an issue running to Smoke thermometers at the same time. If you're looking for more probes, consider the Smoke X4. It features 4 probe ports instead of 2. Plus, extedend range!
- Can you use 2 internal probes at a time with this product?
- Yes! Smoke will read any Pro-Series probe.
- What is the warranty on this unit?
- Smoke carries a 2-year warranty.
