This unique probe is an excellent choice for Sous Vide cooking. The immersible mini-handle/transition seals the probe assembly against moisture so the probe still works in a water bath or a simmering pot. Suitable for thick and very thin portions of meat. Reads extremely fast for spot checking foods on a grill or saute pan. The silicone insulated cable can survive oven temperatures up to 500°F short term and is super-flexible for convenience.

Designed for use in commercial kitchens and professional settings, the Pro-Series Probes deliver better accuracy. faster readings, unique designs, wider temperature ranges and better moisture-resistance than the probes sold with low-cost "houseware-grade" temperature alarms.

Works only with ThermoWorks Signals™, Smoke™, Smoke X™, NODE™, ChefAlarm®, Square DOT®, BlueDOT®, DOT®, and RFX GATEWAY™

20F off after 2 weeks

"I use to order this awhile back. The reason I stopped was beceause the rubber would give out and expose the inner wire causing it to give false readings. I gave it another shot this time and it all looked really good for 2 weeks. Then it started reading 20F under, and/or it didnt want to temp past 164F. It was holding there for about 30 min until I realized it was a wrong reading. Ended up overcooking my chicken."

Non-Pareil

"Works as advertised!"

Great probe

"I got two probes with my first Chefalarm, but never used the thin one. I didn't know what it was for. When I bought my second Chefalarm, I didn't get a thin one, but the literature talked about it, and I saw its value. Before, I always overcooked my ribeyes, but since I started using the probe on thick ribeyes and pork chops, they're perfect every time."

Pro Series probe

"Be careful not to bend the narrow needle. It seems to pick up the signal a faster. Seems good."

Great Product

"I love these probes! They are super easy to insert and very easy to clean. Indeed, they will not last as long as the braided cable probes, so I always keep a few extras on hand. They also don't kink and twist like the braided probes."

Rick M. (5/5)

Wire separates from probe.

"I bought this probe because the one that came with the thermometer broke after two uses. It crimped so badly it busted the wire, I guess. Happened to me twice because I have two of these thermometers. So, I bought this one. Well, I have had three or four of these now and the silicon covering separates from the probe exposing the wires making it easier to fail."

Thomas D. (2/5)

Perfect

"I bought one of these for use with thin cuts of meat. I really like the flexible silicone encased cable. Paired with the DOT it's the combo I use the most."
