Measure both your food and the cooking environment with Average Mode OR set two high alarms to track two different foods while they cook. Just press the Up and Down buttons to set your High Alarms for each channel. Press ANY button to activate the backlight.

Pro-Series Probes
The High Temp Air Probe with the included Grate Clip allows you to measure both the current and the average cooking temperature in your oven or smoker with Square DOT. The Pro-Series cooking, penetration, and needle probes give you ultimate flexibility to measure the internal cooking temperature of any food.

Each Square DOT comes with its own NIST-traceable calibration certificate verifying its accuracy to national standards.

Square DOT has 2 channels and an amazing new air temperature average function. Channel 1 functions as a regular alarm thermometer while Channel 2 can operate in two different modes. Average mode shows you a revolving average temperature calculation of the last 15 minutes, starting when the alarm is first reached. It’s perfect for determining your average oven or smoker temperature as you cook, so you can adjust in real time to get the most accurate results for any recipe. When average mode is disabled, Channel 2 will function as an alarm channel. Like DOT, Square DOT has big, easy-to-read digits, backlit display, ThermoWorks’ signature molded-in splash-proof seals and a commercial-grade plastic body making it a durable, user-friendly tool. It comes with a fold-out stand and a magnetic back for surface mounting. The Kit includes a Pro-Series penetration probe, and a Pro-Series air probe, a Pro-Series cooking probe, and a Pro-Series needle probe for ultimate flexibility with your cook—each with cables that withstand 700°F (371°C). Kit also includes adhesive metal disks for mounting and two Grate Clips for placing the air probe near the cooking surface of any oven or smoker.

"I ordered a 2nd probe for meet do my husband could keep up with my meet and his. I eat smaller and often thinner cuts. We used the wrong probes and the meet got way over cooked before reaching medium rare temperatures. $48 worth of steak was ruined. We will read more on this or call customer service to see how to do better."

High temp needle probe.

"This works very well for me, and it is quickly becoming my "go-to" probe for most of my cooks. I do disagree with the statement the temp. probe can not be used for the pull-temp for my cooks. I have two Mark 4 probes and they have done an excellent job for me, but I have used a carefully placed temperature probe to be my "final cook"."

Good probe, not durable.

"They just don't last. The first one I had lasted about two or three years with moderate use. When I bought replacements, I ordered the silicon sleeve to help protect them, but they still lasted less than a year."

No Instructions on proper usage

"I did not get any directions with my Square Dot unit. Once I removed the plastic strip that was protecting the batteries it turned on and started blinking that the probe(s) was not attached. It has been blinking for 2 days and I have not found a way to turn it off. It would also be nice to find out the proper way to use the attachment for the grill or pot that came with it. The unit was recommended, but the information provided with it definitely needs help."
