"So part of my review is my fault part is not. My fault is I faced it partially up when I installed and it rained a little bit and not it doesn’t work anymore. The part I don’t like is that it doesn’t connect or show up as a device on my RFX app which is disappointing and it is not adjustable on the temp, 225 is the preset and I don’t cook at that temp so It wouod not have been a good fit for me anyways."

"Previously used a Flame Boss product to control cooking temp and monitor food temp with my Big Green Egg. All setup and control was via a phone app that only seldomly worked. It was insanely frustrating. It just quit working last month, after only about 3 years of using it once or twice a year. Bought ThermoWorks Signals and Billows to replace it. Game changer. Set up was easy. BBQ set temp and alarms easily programmed and monitored on the signals unit. Remote monitoring via Bluetooth & the phone app required almost no setup and worked perfectly the first time. Getting Signals connected to WiFi for remote monitoring & control is a bit tricky as the router’s security protocols and other settings have to be set up a specific way to work. But, this isn’t a ThermoWorks failing. Any IOT device these days has the same requirements/issues."

"I'm new to running an offset smoker. I've had barrel, and vertical smokers. I upgraded to RFX last year and it's a perfect combination with the new Billows. I set it for 225. It ran a perfect line on the apps graph, it dropped to 200. I added a couple of sticks and it went right back to 225. It runs like a pellet grill but I feel good that I'm in control of the fire. I'm very pleased with all my Thermoworks purchases. I feel they increase my skill level and give me the confidence to step out of my comfort zone."
Great Accessory for the Billows Fan System
"The damper is very good for dialing in the precise correct amount of air for my smokers. I have two smokers that have a billows unit on them. A big vault and a Weber kettle. I love using the fans. I can control the temp of the cookers from my upstairs bedroom. I use a Signals and a Smoke X. Great Products!!!"
Why did I wait so long?
"Once I figured out the wiring set up, it was smooth sailing and I havenât looked back. The Billows fan is outstanding! It keeps the temps within the range that you select with very small deviation. I should have purchased this long ago and I would have been able to get some sleep during those overnight Brisket cooks!"
Works On My Gateway Drum Like A Champ
"Great for the Gateway Drum fans. I use mine with the RFX and it works like a charm. If you're used to cooking ""straight up"" at 300 you'll likely need to adjust your pit temp on the app to see the drum gauge where you are used to seeing it. I had to compensate about 25 degrees to find the balance. . . . and yes, my drum works just fine. The two probes are located in different proximity to the grate and that makes the air probe run hot in the app. I have tested raising and lowering the temp in the app to achieve 275 for 3 hours as of this writing. This thing is a great near set it and forget it solution for the Gateway Drum"

- I was cleaning my Weber kettle and as I was cleaning supplies and water come out of the Billows attach to my grill. Did I ruined it?
