"I greatly value a product that works without the need to install an app. There is an app if you wish to use it but I respect the choice given to me to decide. The product itself is simple to operate and seems like it will hold up to work conditions in the kitchen. Quite happy with my purchase and on a side note their spatulas are rather nice as well. If you are curious check to see if they have any sales."

"My dot struggles to send readings to the ThermoWorks app only 10 feet away, still direct line of site. I can see the temp from the dot and yet the app connectivity lags or isn’t present at all."

Compact and Nice Functionality
"We like the cool down set point and alarm. Nice functionality and integration with the Thermoworks app. However, the range of the bluetooth is disappointing. We’d like to monitor things in the kitchen when we’re out on the patio (only 20-30 ft away), but we loose the connection."

Weak Bluetooth Connection
"I bought this product several years ago and the Bluetooth connection has always been limited to a distance of 8-10 feet. If you can adjust your temperature tracking to this limitation it is fine. Bluetooth radios are incorporated in products like this as a complete module from a third party. Thermoworks picked a poor module supplier and apparently doesn't want to spend the money to redesign the product with a different Bluetooth module to improve the connection even thought this is the single biggest complaint against the product."
