Nice little tool
"I use this device both at home and for work. I think the important thing for potential customers to realize is that this is not like an instant read thermometer. If you are going from a hot car to a conditioned space you need to give the HygroBug some time to acclimate. For work I put it in the space I want to monitor and come back to it after 10-15 min. I like the min/max per session option. Hard to beat for $50, very portable, great battery life, and NIST certified."

Good - Once You Calibrate Your Expectations
"First and foremost, I'm a huge fan of Thermoworks products. I own several and have been using them for years. My favorite is my Thermapen, which is used daily. Having said that, I have very high expectations of their products. I ordered the Hygrobug to have a reliable device I could use to validate the temp and humidity around my house - as compared to my Nest thermostats. First impressions were not good. The product description led me to believe I'd be able to take this with me anywhere and quickly (keyword, quickly) capture the temperature and humidity in my location. Having played with this device over the past 3 days, I've learned to to allow at least 10 - 15 minutes for it acclimate to the new area, or as long as 30 minutes if the old and new areas had a large temp swing. I immediately questioned it's accuracy and assumed I had a faulty device. However, once I got their Tech Support on the line, Zach was able to enlighten me. I really wanted to believe mine was defective, but the ice bath test proved that it was within spec of its design, and Zack explained how air is a terrible medium to use when comparing multiple devices. We further discussed the accuracy of most smart thermostats. My Next thermostats didn't come with a Certificate of Calibration, so per their website spec sheet, the accuracy is only +/- 1F for temp and +/- 5 - 10% for RH. I had no idea my home thermostats were so far off for humidity. With that said, now that I understand how it's supposed to work, I've recalibrated my expectations. Although slower than I would like, I understand that's how it's supposed to work when measuring air and the accuracy is still far better than anything else I have around the house. This 4 star rating is a direct result of my customer service experience. I appreciate your time Zach."
