"I ordered a 2nd probe for meet do my husband could keep up with my meet and his. I eat smaller and often thinner cuts. We used the wrong probes and the meet got way over cooked before reaching medium rare temperatures. $48 worth of steak was ruined. We will read more on this or call customer service to see how to do better."

No Instructions on proper usage

"I did not get any directions with my Square Dot unit. Once I removed the plastic strip that was protecting the batteries it turned on and started blinking that the probe(s) was not attached. It has been blinking for 2 days and I have not found a way to turn it off. It would also be nice to find out the proper way to use the attachment for the grill or pot that came with it. The unit was recommended, but the information provided with it definitely needs help."

Works as expected

"So far I've only used one time but very happy I decided to buy. It was a relief not to have to keep taking my food out of the oven to check the temperature. I like my meats medium rare but I was always leaving them in the oven a little too long, this time I had the perfect amount of pinkness. My only wish was that I had more directions on setting up the Dot and how to correctly place probe wires. Maybe a few more pictures on oven placement of the probe wire on the website or YouTube directions."
