"Love gifting Thermapens to those who grill. The silicon boot provides excellent protection. Additionally, the silicon boot allows one to easily pickup and grip the Thermapen. The magnetic are the true bonus as one can keep it next to the grill while grilling. Mine resides on the side of my fridge. The glow in the dark feature is useful for the early morning and night time grilling sessions."

New Design
"Got this for a friend because I liked the one I have. The design changed since I got mine. The new version has two magnets and when installed on the Thermopen the unit no longer turns on. The second magnet seems to be interfering with the unit. I removed one of the magnets and it seems to be working as expected. Should have to trouble-shoot such a simple product. . ."

"Got it as a gift and this pretty terrible. First of all, it's IMPOSSIBLE to get it on without breaking a sweat. It's a cover for a food thermometer, not a space shuttle - take it easy. Next it doesn't allow the probe to nest into its slot bc there is silicone material interfering with it closing all the way at the axis point. I'm going to remove and throw it away."

"I have a number of thermoworks products and use them frequently. The silicone boot with the magnet makes it very easy to keep the thermapen readily available for use in the kitchen, clinging to the side of my refrigerator. I use it to check the temperature of practically everything that i cook now and it has improved the quality and consistency of my cooking greatly."
