Great plates, not so great screws

"Metal plates are great and exactly what I was looking for. Unfortunately, the screws are terrible. Even after pre-drilling pilot holes and only using a screwdriver, the screw heads literally broke off on 3 of the screws. After that, I stopped using them and switched to my own. I have 4 plates, so I have 8 screws total. I have never seen screw heads just strip off like that before."

Disappointed

"Not sure about this one. I attached it to my stainless steel oven door with the supplied adhesive strip so that I could mount my ThermoWorks devices to it, inasmuch as they will not otherwise stick to the non magnetic door. Two or three days later, I attached my RFx Gateway to this metal plate. Halfway thru the cook, the gateway and the metal plate crashed to the floor. Seems the adhesive did not hold. But I don't believe the front of the oven door got so hot as to soften the adhesive, but if it did, then ThermoWorks might want to offer a better adhesive strip for the plate. I bought th3 plate for this specific use, so its failure was quite disappointing. But your mileage may vary."
