Great outdoors! Do the buttons have to be across from each other?
"The good: I used this for tracking 38 motorcycle races over two days and it worked excellently; the beeper is loud enough to hear over the race and through the headset. The numbers are large enough to read at a glance and are clearly visible in the glare of full sun. The magnet is plenty strong to hold it anywhere I put it. The bad: When reaching for the timer without looking it was very easy to press the "Set" button instead of Start/Stop, which only silences the timer. After a couple days of very frequent use, the rubber side buttons have tiny pills and the inked numbers on the front are beginning to wear off. Recommendations for the next one: put the Set buttons on the front, even if that makes it wider. Cooking isn't so fast paced as racing, but pressing Start/Stop to stop an alarm could be made to also recall the set time. Side buttons could be a *little* larger."
Great, but
"The time stick works very well. I had a single time timestick which could also show the time. Minor whiff of sad, for a great product"
Buttons too hard to press
"The idea behind the design is nice, but the execution lacks. The buttons are small and require a lot of force to successfully press. The difficulty in just setting a time often causes us to just use our phone instead."
Overpriced junk that lasted less than 2 years.
"I bought 2 and they lasted less than a year and a half. Never dropped, never abused. Almost a year and a half to the day of the purchase date, the "0" stopped working on both of them. A day or two later, several other buttons stopped working, including the start button. Garbage. I have crappy dollar store timers that I've had years longer than this thing that still work. As much as I like the thermometers and would never be without them in my restaurants, I would never spend a dollar on another Thermoworks timer. Complete garbage."
Great timer
"Timestick works great. The only negative is the numbers printed on the buttons rubbed off while carrying in my pocket after only a few days."
Solid kit addition
"Simple, effective and you get 3 timers without the clutter"
Top notch quality!
"Top notch quality!"
AWFUL
"AWFUL! Impopssible to depress any of the buttons and totally confusing to set. Plus after 8 months the alarm stopped working and when the time is up it shuts off completely. Just threw it in the trash!!"
The best
"Last for a very VERY long time"
Too Hard
"This timer seems to be well made, but the buttons are way too hard for me to press and I didn't care for the buttons on the sides. I wanted a timer I could stick on my fridge with buttons I could easily press without having to take the timer down in order to do so. This timer might work for some, but it was way off the mark for me. I returned it."
