"I've always wanted one of these because of the quality and speed they're known for. I've used cheaper brands from Amazon and they worked good, but their speed was not great and my hand would get hot holding it there waiting on it to show the temp. Seconds do count and add up."

Thermal pen

"I've been very happy I give them his gifts. I bought two salvage one from the Goodwill that had a dead battery replace battery where fine gave it away. One pen you have to fit with the pro extension back-and-forth before it'll start to read other than that. Been very happy I've had my first one for about 15 hours. I think shipping is a tad bit expensive."

"Excellent thermometer! Quick read saves the hair on my arm from being singed and the accuracy (and reliability) are keys to good outcomes. I use it mostly on the grill, and it doesn't always get the gentlest of treatment, but it just keeps on working. Great product!"

First one lasted me 8 years - love this!

"I didn't realize until recently that I bought my first Thermapen eight years ago, and I loved it. Eight years is a great run for electronics where I live in Hawaiʻi at the base of a rainforest. The constant humidity is hard on everything. Over the years I added several other name-brand thermometers to my collection, including wireless models and multi-probe units, but I always came back to my Thermapen as the one I trusted to check accuracy. When it finally died, I didn't hesitate to buy another one. As far as BBQ goes, I'd like to think I'm the best on the block - my wife even bought me a branding iron for our steaks. I cook on one of my grills at least twice a week, year-round, and a fast, accurate thermometer is one tool I won't compromise on. If you're on the fence because of the price, don't be. Mine earned its keep hundreds of times over, and replacing it with another Thermapen was an easy decision."

I never received this product.

"I never received this product. I received a message saying that it was deliverer. but it wasn’t in my mailbox. I don’t know where the package is. I don’t think someone stole it from my porch because I went to pick it up right after the notice. I believe the mailman may have delivered it to the wrong house. . I was hoping a good neighbor would return it. No such luck. This is definitely a disadvantage of shopping online."

"Awesome, almost instantaneous readings for the temp of an herbal tea I drink every morning as well as replacing my long trained index finger for poking steaks, burgers, and pork tenderloins on the grill. Overall very good

"Overall very happy with purchase. It could be improved by making the size much smaller. Its very large and bulky compared to my other food thermometers. Also, I thought the temperature measurements would come back in about a second, but it does not. For example, I was measuring the heat of cooking oil and it took at least 7 seconds for the temperature to stop rising on the Thermapen."

I love my thermo pen

"I love my thermo pen one,I own 3,onecl for my wife and one for the kids, it was the only way I could get them to stop using mine,I have watched them dropped it couple of time,tosse it in the sink or on the counter,thank God this thing was built like a tank,I love the back light,all those light nights and early morning smoking pork butts,brisket and turkeys,I don't have to turn on the light,hate those moths, I can read my temps perfectly, on last thing I love about it,when you go to any bbq when I see the host owns thermo pen ,you definitely know this person to bbq."

"I bought this for my son’s birthday which is not till Sept 7th. I wanted him to have the most accurate temp readings as possible. He cooks and grills for our family and is really great at it. He’s been wanting one for a long time. I will give an update once he opens it and uses it the first time"
