I've owned the MK 4

"I've owned the MK 4 for nearly 10 years, initially for my BBQ restaurant, recently dropped it for the 100th time and broke the battery door. Decided to pull the trigger on the Thermapen one, even though the MK4v still works fine (with a taped up battery door). Happy to say that the Thermapen One is superior in every way. It's super fast, super accurate, and since I bought the silicone boot to protect it, I don't plan to buy another thermometer for the rest of my life. "We all know how they work. This is what you may not have heard. It feels ergonomic in your hand. The Thermapen® ONE is heavier than you might expect. The weight is perfectly balanced and not "floating" in your hand. The size keeps it from getting lost in your drawer, the counter, or your pocket. Speaking of pockets, the tip is protected by the handle, so no lost cover or accidental wound. Secured with a small rubber band, you can pack it to go anywhere. The instant-on and off are perfectly timed with the smooth release and collapse of the wand. No waiting for it to sleep or wake up. The image rotates with the pen position - every position. The wand's small size and tip make it easy to probe, especially through foil/paper. Now go read the 1,000s of positive reviews and videos about how solid and accurate it is."
