Finally, a thermometer we can trust
"We used this for the first time grilling chicken on Sunday, and what a difference! We had been using a cheap thermometer from Amazon that gave us inconsistent readings, so we never really felt like we could trust it. The Thermapen Nano was such a noticeable upgrade that we threw our old thermometer away after using this one! I love how quick and easy it is to use, and most importantly, I feel like I can actually trust the temperature reading. It’s one of those things you don’t necessarily realize you need until you use a good one. We should have bought this sooner!"
"Game changer! Incredibly fast. The instant temp acceleration followed by the slower return (so you have time to read it). Is amazing. Use for bbq and kitchen. I won’t say it completely retired my TP ONE, but the NANO is the one I reach for first."
LIGHTNING QUICK
"The Nano is lightning quick on the read. We smoke, bake, and cook a lot and to be able to get a read in an instant is just silly also get the black Nano, it’s just that cool."
Fast and furious
"Works fast and makes safe cooking a breeze."
"the display is definitely brighter than my old thermopen one, plus it doesn't have , it doesn't have a double a battery, like my old thermopen one,"
"The scale doesn’t work it doesn’t turn on!"
"Best instant read thermometer there is"
"Absolutely love each and every item"
"The speed of this thing is so awesome"
"Instant (0.4 second) read out, magnetic, and thinner/lighter than the One."
Q&A
- IP67 means it can get wet and submerged in water briefly. Does this mean I can put it in warm, soapy dishwater with the rest of my BBQ and baking items for cleaning?
- Most of the time your Thermapen will only need to be wiped with a damp cloth to come clean but can be submerged if necessary.
- Does the Thermopen NANO measure air temperature? If so, how accurately?
- Yes. Thermapen NANO can measure air temperature with the same published accuracy (±0.5° F), however the reading speed will be slower due to the lower thermal conductivity of air. If you need something optimized for air temperatures, I would recommend looking at our Air Thermapen with an exposed sensor for faster response time in air.
- Will you offer a silicone glow in the dark cover like you have for the older models for the nano? If so, when.
- Yes, we are actively working on this and should have one available soon.
- Can any of the ThermaPens be used for taking human temperatures?
- While Thermapen models are designed and calibrated specifically for food service rather than human use, we recommend our [WAND™ No-Touch Forehead Thermometer](https://www.thermoworks.com/products/wand) for taking body temperatures.
- What battery does nano use?
- Thermapen NANO uses one standard AAA battery (1.5V).
