The IRT-2 is a professional high accuracy infrared thermometer that reads type T thermocouples. Designed for lab, warehouse, quality assurance, HACCP and much more, the IRT-2 now includes a circle laser for more precise targeting of infrared measurements.

The IRT-2 has the best accuracy of any handheld infrared thermometer in its class, and includes a full measurement range from -76 to 1022°F. It features adjustable emissivity for virtually all surface types, min/max to record high and lows during use, high and low audible alarms and backlit display for poorly lit areas.

A unique circle laser pattern makes the IRT-2 a standout in infrared meters. The 8 laser dots show you the diameter of the area being measured. As you move closer or further from the target the laser circle will change diameter. You always know your spot size.

The IRT-2 Infrared Thermometer includes a thermocouple socket for use with any type T thermocouple probe. A two line display shows infrared and thermocouple measurements simultaneously. Select from dozens of standard industrial or lab grade type T probes. Many optional lab probes are used in lab research with ultra-fast response micro needle tips for very small specimens.

And, with a 12:1 distance-to-spot ratio, the Industrial Infrared Thermometer allows you to measure small target areas from further away (1 inch spot at 12 inch distance). This keeps the lens cool when measuring hot surface temperatures.

Infrared Comparator Calibration Cup

The Infrared Comparator Cup provides a stable black body temperature. The comparator cup is an inexpensive way of checking infrared hand-held thermometers against a known reference thermometer.

The comparator consists of an aluminum cup with a solid matte black base, the base incorporates a 3.5mm reference thermometer hole for probe insertion.

The comparator can be used at any temperature within the ambient range of the instrument to be tested. The information from the reference thermometer can be used to compensate for minor differences in the readings against the test instrument. Then only instruments with unacceptable errors need to be returned to the supplier for re-calibration or certification.

Difficult to get proper function- clunky control buttons

"Hard to tell how accurate this is - there is a difference between the ir and the probe readings when comparing in boiling water The function buttons are SUPER CLUNKY and don't work as intended- very difficult switching between C AND F The hold button doesn't seem to function properly This would be much better with dedicated buttons for the function- since the buttons are combo function- they are confusing and clunkyGetting accurate readings on water or any other transparent liquids is EXTREMELY DIFFICULT without the probe and with the probe I am unsure of accuracy"

Fast and accurate

"Great fast responding infrared thermometer. I bought the meter for Hydronics Solar panel circulator pumps and pipe surface temperature checking, works great at close range 2"" to 10"", still provides a great general reading at further distances, hence the 12:1 ratio. Really appreciate the high accuracy between our desired range approx. 32 to 120 F. Easy read backlight display."
