"We all know beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Today in the AI world anyone can paint a beautiful picture of food with help of virtual reality. Even the real thing can look done or not done by gazing at it with our eyes. I’ve ruined many meals by gauging doneness with my eyes. NO MORE!!!!!! The Thermapen ONE. Is “THE”one that changed everything. Pulling that fillet off the grill at 110° and searing in a cast iron skillet, basting with a compound butter for that crispy outer goodness, without over cooking can be perfect every time with this thermometer. I have a red Thermapen One and while replacing the battery today the screw broke out of the cover. Is it possible to get a replacement cover?

When the MK4 probe is left open and not folded, does it drain the battery?
Not significantly. Thermapen Mk4 and Thermapen ONE both have auto-off as well as auto-on when the device is picked up again.
