"I like the wireless temperature probes. It’s so to use, it’s almost like cheating. I use them daily! I keep buying more. The only I have is some will say inactive, but when i click on the probe in the app I get the the temp!"
RFX wireless probes
"Excellent system. The only issue I have is battery inconsistency. Sometimes the battery will last 20 hours or longer and occasionally you get 8 hours or less. Not sure if it's wifi or outside temps affecting it. My wife pre ordered mine as a gift and I've been using them since they were delivered. I probably have 1,000 hours on my probes so they are definitely durable. Absolutely worth the money"
Perfect food every time!
"Love this setup! My father-in-law recommended this to me after I told him his food always comes out perfect. I bought the 2 probe deal and feel like it’s the best money I’ve spent. I love how I can look at my phone and see the temperature of the food rise without even opening the oven. You can also set the high limit temperature so it notifies you when it reaches the temperature you want. No more ruined meals by overcooking or undercooking. Definitely worth the money!"
WiFi connection method sucks
"Having to type your SSID and password manually is already a pain, but my SSID has an apostrophe from my name and it took me 2 hours to figure out the RFX is not compatible with SSIDs that have special characters. So now I have to waste my guest network and make it a more simple name which adds network interference. As far as the functionality, it’s okay so far. Honestly a clunky User Interface for such an expensive product."
Aside from being incredibly accurate,
"Aside from being incredibly accurate, I had a cook cook sideways and caught fire in the smoker. Temp soared to around 700°. Honestly, wasn't a complete disaster. But what was impressive is the probe, which had turned black, cleaned up nicely and hasn't skipped a beat since. Solid piece of equipment."
On the Inside Counts
"Accurate wireless temps from the middle of your meats makes cooking more accurate with less hassle. Now your cooks can always be on time with great results. Easy to use and no guessing!"
Solid hardware but the app needs work
"The probe, gateway, and temps are all well designed and function as expected and within expected tolerances. As for the app, I’ve been using the device for almost a year now, and I can saw the app has got better but a UI redesign could take to be an industry standard tool. The workflow of the app is clunky, there’s too many places that serve the same Functions for bame (gateway, gateway session, prob, prob session, etc…) and the logic needs developments there show be a functional workflow starting from meat/cook temp and down to the specifics."
Much Better than the RFX Battery Chargers
"This works great for RFX probe charging. Two issues: 1) why is it only offered in only a 10-probe charger? I only have four probes and this big brick is ridiculous. I just hate the battery chargers- they're unreliable- so I felt compelled to purchase this. This probe charger should be offered in a 4-probe and this 10-probe version. 2) There should be a USB-C output to charge the RFX receiver. I shouldn't need another charger or take up another electrical receptacle- this charger should charge my probes and the receiver with one receptacle plug. Big fail this wasn't taken into account by design team! Feel free to reach out to me before you release them so I can QC! :D"
Fabulous
"RFX system works great. Exceptional quality as I’ve found all of their products. Most impressive, however, is the amazing customer support. Staff is friendly, helpful, and competent."
Delicate thing
"I had to buy an additional probe because my original wouldnt hold a charge. Found out you can’t get bbq sauce on it because it will stop transmitting. Jury is still out for me."
