RFX Wireless Probe is great
"Recently purchased the RFX Wireless Probe Starter Kit. I have cooked fish twice using the probes. The RFX is easy to set up and allows me to set temps in the app to alert me when I have different sizes of fish, yet allowing each to cook to the perfect temp. The RFX range and signal strength is excellent. I can monitor the cooking temps with my fish on the grill while I am in the kitchen getting the rest of the meal ready."
I ruined a probe. . . they replaced it!
"I love RFX! No doubt about it. Works great, BUT the probes have one issue - don't expose them to too high of a temperature! I ruined a probe by (thoughtlessly) trying to use it in hot oil. The wired probe is fine, but the overheat kills the electronics. So only use the probe inserted into meat TO THE LINE. Now a plug for Thermoworks. Once we figured out what happened, they offered to replace the probe at a generous discount. Go Thermoworks!"
Wireless probe on RFX
"Hi, i have a wireless probe my wife got me at Christmas and i did a low and slow cook with a maximum temperature of 300F in my pellet grill. There were two probes in the meat and now one of the probes will only display one temperature reading. I do like the unit, i just hope they will last. i just bought another two probe set which is why i am getting this review as i do like them if they will work for me. Thanks"
Almost Perfect
"Works flawlessly except Looses connectivity. when the protein your cooking requires being wrapped in aluminum foil. Work around Blindly Push probe through the foil into your protein …But if your protein requires precise probe placement to get an accurate reading of doneness (i. e. Brisket) you are at a disadvantage"
RFX System Works Great!
"I have used the RFX probes and gateway several times now and cross checked them against other thermometers. They are very accurate and work great with the app. They have helped me make sure my tomahawk, pork chops and other items turned out fantastic."
Great Device with Limitations
"The device works really well for large items, but because of the minimum immersion line it doesn't really work for smaller items such as filet mignon, burgers and fish. I will still find it useful for the large items but, for the price, wish it was more versatile."
Amazing!!
"I finally got to use it for the first time on July 4th, and i could not be happier!! I have tried so many of these types of thermometers in the past and they all fell short. This one worked while i slept, keeping me on top of my alarms, and i never lost signal in my pool, or anywhere around my yard. Now that i know how well it works, i will be buying more probes for it so that i can monitor more than 1 thing at a time. Thank You ThermoWorks for another stellar product!"

"I like the wireless temperature probes. It’s so to use, it’s almost like cheating. I use them daily! I keep buying more. The only I have is some will say inactive, but when i click on the probe in the app I get the the temp!"
The probe we received with
"The probe we received with the kit was unfortunately malfunctioning. It wouldn't connect to the app despite multiple resetting attempts. I reached out for support, and Michael M. was able to get us a new probe, which arrived in three business days--a lot sooner than I anticipated. The new probe is working well! It's very unfortunate that we had to be sent a new probe, but the excellent customer service makes up for it."
Works Some of the Time
"It does an okay job most of the time, I double check my meats with a quick read thermometer and the readings are okay but where it really struggles is in my Traeger Timberline 1300 with the meat wrapped in foil. Foil cuts off the reading completely. I changed to butcher paper which helped a lot but where I think the system needs a real upgrade is having it work with WiFi 5g. My house is on Wifi 5g so I need to run my RFX on bluethooth. This might help with the weak transmission/reception issues with foil. . . not sure."
